Hair often grows in unwanted places: whether in the armpit, intimate area, as a "lady's beard" or on the legs, many would like to get rid of the unsightly "splendor" quickly, easily and forever. This is not so easy, but a highly effective method promises laser therapy. However, there are some things to consider with regard to the hair cycle, because a truly permanent hair removal is possible exclusively in the hair growth phase.

Human hair growth is not continuous, i.e. in each follicle (outer hair sheath that surrounds the hair root in the form of a sac) phases of growth, rest and regression alternate. Each follicle follows its own rhythm. Mother Nature has done this quite cleverly, because this always ensures a uniform hair stock.

However, since hair can only be permanently removed in the growth phase, a laser treatment must be repeated several times in order to remove the hair in the growth phase for good. For the targeted, permanent removal of dark blond to black hair, a specific diode laser is used in the skinmed Laserpark.

The treatment The skinmed specialists, who are highly experienced and certified in the use of lasers, place the laser on the skin to specifically destroy the hair follicles through the absorbed light without damaging the surrounding tissue or the overlying skin. Each pulse of light feels like a gentle sting, but is not painful.

Hair that is in the growth phase is thus permanently removed, hair in other growth phases must be removed in another session.

There may be slight redness or local swelling immediately after the procedure, but this will disappear after a few hours. The skinmed specialists recommend avoiding sunbathing or solarium visits for at least four weeks after the treatment. Depending on the hair structure and pigmentation, six to eight sessions at intervals of four to six weeks are necessary to achieve maximum treatment results.
