Cryolipolysis - fat gone through cold

Cryolipolysis is a novel method for reducing fat deposits. Studies have shown that fat cells are very sensitive to cold stimuli. The principle of cryolipolysis is based on this observation: a special treatment head of the cryolipo device is placed on the desired body area, the skin tissue is sucked in with a light vacuum and then cooled to about 2-0 degrees Celsius for about 45-60 minutes. The targeted exposure to cold triggers apoptosis (controlled cell death) in the fat cells, so that they are gradually broken down via the body's own healing processes. The surrounding skin, nerve, muscle or connective tissue is not damaged in the process; once fat cells have been broken down, they remain permanently destroyed and do not form again. Since the fat must be broken down naturally by the liver, the results are not visible until 2 to 4 months after treatment. In one session, up to 25 percent of the fat cells in the treated area can be destroyed.
