Permanent make-up is a micro-implantation of small color pigments into the skin. This means that with a fine sterile needle, color pigments are incorporated into the top layer of the skin. This method can be used to pigment eyelid lines, lip contours, eyebrows, areola. Unlike ordinary make-up, permanent make-up does not smear, smudge and fade overnight.

The pigments are deposited between the skin cells and fade over time due to the UV rays of the sun. Through the skin's own cell renewal process, the color pigments are eventually worked out.
